Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding supporting actress in the Drama Series. Other roles she has played include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant in Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio, where she continued her love of the theatre. Her studies in theatre took place at Northwestern University. A semester was spent at the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to television and film. Anna got her big break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. She continued to appear as guest stars on a few TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she was cast in a recurring role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler appeared in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully and Deadwood was another film she starred in. Gunn was also on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in Numbered Day, a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The drama's tension and final ending mirrors the last years of Walter White.
